Ooooh! I am playing "Beat the streak" on mlb.com and on the Braves site! See let me tell you about those.
First off, the one on mlb.com. You pick ANY player off of ANY team each day. If he gets a hit, you get a hit. Your goal is to develop a game to game hit streak. If youre the first player to pass Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak record, you get $10,000. Today I picked Craig Wilson of the Pirates to get a hit.
Now the one on the Braves site is more fun! *smiles*. Its the same idea, only you pick just Braves players(Duh!). Be the first to beat the all time Braves hit streak record of 31 games, and you get a signed Chipper Jones jersey. If you have the longest streak out of everyone who played all year, then you get tickets to two Braves home games in 2005! :D Today, I am picking Johnny Estrada!!!
