Ok people is it Wednesday yet?
7:12 a.m. - 2004-04-13

Ok first of all, Im sick to death of Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds. Blah, blah, blah. He got #660. Yes. He tied Mays. His godfather. Now he is only behind Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron. Dont break Hank's record, he got that record as a Brave. I guess you can tell I feel strongly about my team.

OMG! C2! I remember the name of that reliever that I was trying to think of on Sunday! It was Mike Bielecki! Dont know how that just popped into my mind, but it did lol.

Back to "Is it Wednesday yet?" Well, it isnt. It is merely Tuesday. Wednesday is game 4 in the Flyers/Devils series.

Come on Flyers....Julie believes in you all. If you dont win, then Jill and I dont take you into the closet. Bad,bad Flyers lol *winks and laughs*

Why the hell am I talking in 3rd person?

Chris, if youre reading this, Im still feeling the same. Yes, Im still in my funk. And Im suffering a big case of the blahs. Damn me. Grrr.

Im wearing my new Bobby Labonte shirt that my mom got me. Its black and on the front it has a pic of him,his car, and his WC championship trophy, and around him and the trophy, it looks like a neon sign, and it says "Must be 18 to win....Bobby Labonte" and it shows his car on the back. I love it. She also got me a Jamie McMurray rookie of the year shirt and Im gonna wear that tomorrow. Does anyone care?

No. No. No.

I have it on CMT and for the first time, I took a good listen to the song "If heartaches had wings" by Rhonda Vincent. Wow, what a song. I love it. Ok Julie, stop rambling.

If anyone cares, my quotes page is updated.

Here is the article from the Flyers site about the game last night. Later today, Im gonna go read about it on the Devils site, cause I always enjoy hearing stuff like this from both sides.

Devils Score Three Power Play Goals, Win 4-2

East Rutherford, NJ With the game tied 2-2 in the second period, Patrik Elias scored his second goal of the night on the power play, leading the New Jersey Devils to a 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Continental Airlines Arena.

The Flyers still lead the series two-games-to-one, with Game Four at the Meadowlands set for Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

New Jersey trailed 2-1 in the second period, but scored a couple of goals before the intermission to take its first lead of the series.

First, a bouncing puck around the Flyers net hit the skate of Vladimir Malakhov in the crease. Devils defenseman Paul Martin was there, and he scored his first goal of the

playoffs on the power play just about five minutes into the period.

It was New Jerseys first goal with the man advantage, as they were 0-for-8 in the two-plus games.

Elias broke the 2-2 tie with a slap shot, again on the power play, that deflected off of Kim Johnssons backside found the back of the net with 2:32 left in the frame.

We knew it wasnt going to be a short series, said Keith Primeau. They arent the defending champions for nothing. We just have to get ready and prepare for Game Four.

I thought we competed at a high level the whole game, said Ken Hitchcock. The biggest difference for us is we didnt show the composure in our own end at critical times. Both teams played with a very strong sense of desperation, but we made composure mistakes killing penalties and they took advantage of it.

In the third period, Primeau had a great shorthanded scoring chance. He cut through a couple of Devils defenders, made a move on Brodeur, but couldnt quite get his stick on the puck to finish the play off with the tying goal.

Instead, New Jersey added to its lead while on that same power play, when Scott Gomez found Brian Gionta stationed in front of the net for a tip-in goal to make it 4-2 at the seven-minute mark.

There was a huge momentum swing on Primeaus breakaway, and then they scored on that same power play, said Hitchcock. They were able to hold off from there when they got up 4-2.

We ran around a little bit too much, and our coverage was off a little bit and we allowed them too much room, said Roenick. I think both teams played hard. We had a really good attitude on the bench and kept pushing and pushing, we just couldnt get the puck past Marty [Brodeur] at the end.

For the third straight game, the Flyers opened the scoring. At 8:49 of the first period on a power play, Jeremy Roenick found the rebound of a hard wrist shot by Johnsson and chipped it in for his second goal of the playoffs.

There was a scare for the Flyers in the closing minutes of the first period, as forward Simon Gagne went hard into the boards with New Jerseys Ray Giroux draped on his back. Gagnes knees buckled and he crashed right in front of the Flyers bench, but returned after the intermission.

The Devils tied it on the first goal of the night by Elias, as Gomez fed him a pass through the slot and Elias easily redirected it in just 1:26 into the second period.

Philadelphia retook the lead, again on the power play with Tony Amontes first goal of the series. On the play, Roenick found Amonte alone at the side of the net. Amonte waited for Brodeur to fall to the ice, and lifted the puck into the wide-open goal at 3:13.

Tickets are on sale now for Game Five of the series back at the Wachovia Center on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
